Insert ball closure ring
What is a ball closure ring?
A ball closure ring (BCR), also known as a clamping ball ring, is a type of piercing jewelry that consists of a ring and a ball. The ring has a suitable opening for the ball. The ball has two small notches on both sides into which the ends of the ring snap, holding the jewelry securely in place. Ball closure rings can be used in a variety of ways on different parts of the body. They are available in different sizes, colors, material thicknesses and materials.
Preparation
-
Cleaning
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Then disinfect the BCR with disinfectant.
Inserting the ball closure ring
-
Opening the ring
Hold the ball with your fingers and pull it sideways out of the ring. If the material thickness is 2.5mm or more, we recommend using pliers to remove the ball. To do this, you can use pliers to widen the ring so that the ball can fall out.
-
Inserting the ring
Insert the ring through the stitch channel. Make sure you do this slowly and carefully to avoid irritation or injury.
-
Closing by inserting the ball
Hold the ball between your thumb and index finger. Position the ball so that the two notches on the ball are aligned with the two ends of the ring. Then press the ball between the two ends of the ring. You should hear or feel a slight “click” when the ball snaps into place.
If you have a thicker ring, then using pliers will also help here. Use the pliers to make the ring a little wider so that the ball can be placed well between the two ends of the ring.

Tighten the ring
If the ring suddenly becomes loose over time, it helps to remove the ball, then hold the ring between your thumb and index finger and squeeze it very slightly. This tightens the ring and the ball has a better grip between the two ends of the ring when it is inserted. If the ring is thicker, it helps to use a pair of closing pliers to tighten the ring.

Patience
Inserting a ball closure ring requires some practice and patience, but with the right preparations and precautions, you can attach the jewelry safely and effectively.
