5 mm, 6 mm or 8 mm fake expander black acrylic
If you find the look of an expander in a stretched ear hole, i.e. a tunnel, appealing and pretty, but don't (yet) dare to take the step of stretching, here is an interesting alternative. This fake expander made of black acrylic allows you to imitate the cool style of a stretched ear hole, but without having to stretch it yourself and retaining the normal size of an ear hole. As you can see in the picture, the fake expander is basically built like a piercing or a normal earring, except that the attachment at the front is very reminiscent of the thick end of an expander and the attachment behind the ear looks like the tapered end of an expander. In other words, you get the look of an expander, while your ear hole only has to endure the thin rod of a piercing. The rod to which both parts of the fake expander are connected is only 1.2 millimetres thick. Depending on how large you want your fake tunnel to appear, you can choose from three different versions: five millimetres in diameter, six millimetres in diameter or eight millimetres in diameter. The entire expansion rod is always 44 millimetres long. The inner length, i.e. the length of the 1.2 millimeter thin rod that you insert through your ear hole, is six millimeters. To prevent your fake expander from falling apart and getting lost when worn, you can easily attach the tapered rear part to the end of the inner rod with a little skill. This expander is perfect as a gift for people who think the tunnel style is cool, but don't quite have the confidence yet. Even if you want to see if tunnels are for you, this fake expander is a great option for testing this out and simply taking the piece of jewelry out again if you don't like the look so much. Because this expander is made of acrylic, it is very durable and is sure to attract attention at many appearances.
